Previous Travels

This trip is the latest in a serious of excursions over the last few years exploring educational practices in the field of the Holocaust, genocide, and crimes against humanity in support of curriculum development and teacher training materials for “From Memory to Action” (FM2A), linked to the right.  These excursions have included:

Ÿ  Poland, Israel, July 2009.  Poland:  Warsaw Ghetto, Majdanek Concentration Camp, Belzec Concentration Camp, Auschwitz State Museum,  Krakow Ghetto, Plaszow Concentration Camp, Schindler Factory, Treblinka Concentration Camp.  Israel:  Yad Vashem, Lohamei HaGeta’ot (The Ghetto Fighters House and Museum, Center for Humanistic Education).  Holocaust and Jewish Resistance Teacher s’ Program.   

Ÿ  Ukraine, April, 2009.  Hadiach, Poltava, Kyiv.  Eurasia/South Asia Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA), a program of the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs U.S. Department of State, and administered by IREX.
